Question about Wolfgang Products

I recently used Wolfgang Paintwork Polish Enhancer followed by Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant and am very happy with the results. This is all the protection that I currently have on the car. Would there be any benefit putting Wolfgang PROFI Ceramic Booster over the WGDPS? I do not have a ceramic coating on the car.

Also I also purchased the Wolfgang SiO2 Paint Sealant for my Wife's new Grand Cherokee. What is the difference between the Deep Gloss Sealant and the SiO2 Paint Sealant and would the PROFI Ceramic Booster work as another layer over the SiO2 sealant?

WDGPS is a different sealant technology and is not SiO2-based or compatible. So the ceramic booster would not integrate with the WDGPS, it would just act as a separate layer on top.

The SiO2 Paint Sealant is based on the same technology as ceramic with that being SiO2-based. That doesn’t mean that the non-ceramic coatings, even based on SiO2, will last as long as an actual ceramic coating. I’m also not sure the ceramic booster would extend the life of the SiO2 sealant but it might a little, especially if you use it regularly. Of course, since different companies may have slightly different formulations, if you get a ceramic coating, I’d recommend it be by the same company as the booster to ensure full compatibility.

Some are reporting the SiO2-based washes seem to leave some decent protection by themselves, especially when used regularly so it is possible the Ceramic Booster might help the SiO2 sealant. As Mike Phillips says, focus on something you’ll use regularly vs the coating with the longest life. Then again, you could have just bought the Wolfgang Uber SiO2 Silica Spray, which would probably do better than the Ceramic Booster, though I’d expect they’re similar.
 
Just to jump in with dgage, I would not bother using PROFI Booster on DGPS. However, I personally would try the PROFI Booster on WG SiO2. Although the booster is meant for coatings (particularly PROFI Coating), I expect there would be at least some added benefit of topping on WG SiO2 PS.

If you haven’t purchased PROFI Booster yet but do want something that may be more compatible with DGPS and SiO2 PS, I might recommend WG SiO2 Silica Spray. It’s packed with more polymers IMO (thicker feeling formula) and seems more geared towards topping on sealants than the PROFI Booster. It should compliment either sealant with similar polymers while giving some added water benefits to DGPS or renewing some water benefits to WG SiO2 PS.

But if you already bought the booster, ride with that on the WG SiO2 PS and you might like the results (can always save for later if you don’t like the results).

No. Different chemistry, probably wouldn't make a proper bond thus wast time and product.

The Si02 Paint Sealant is infused with Si02 - the original Deep Gloss Paint Sealant is just that, a synthetic paint sealant. Both are very nice products.

Because of the "sealant" component in both products - I do not believe the PROFI Ceramic Booster will make a proper bond.

Thank you Mr. Phillips. Is there anything you could recommend that would help with the durability of the Deep Gloss Paint Sealant and the SiO2 Paint Sealant? I would like to make it last through the winter if possible.

I recently purchased the WG SIO2 sealant, and top it with their SIO2 spray.....typically every third wash. It worked out very, very well, with some outstanding hydrophobicity. Give this combo a shot, and I think you will be very pleased with the results.
 
Wolfgang SIO2 spray is really nice and insanely wet looking. Just mist it on a mf and wipe it on and off.
