Hello ive been detailing as a hobby and recently been toying with the idea of starting a mobile windshield repair/head light resto biz. Can that do well as a stand alone biz? Or should i also ad detailing?

Offering only two services that are add on's to a detailers menu might be a tough sell.

When you say windshield repair, do you mean epoxy chip filling or glass polishing? My response above was made with the assumption that you meant glass polishing.

I mean windshield repair like fixing chips and cracks

Yeah go for it. Start specializing in one area then start adding things and when u ready you can detail too.

What are some good kits for windshield repair? How much do they run? What are good kits for headlight resto?: (Ive seen tons lol)

I can polish and clean cars, but if I could repair windshields and do body work, I wouldn't have to pay others to do it. The point I'm trying to make is offer as many products as you can. The more skills you possess the more valuable you are, as long as quality is high.
