I use the towel form and wash and before I dry I use the towel with lube, then rinse and dry. I don't know if I trust the sponge setup.
I wash the car first, then use fresh water and wash as my lubricant with my Nanoskin mitt. Love this :dblthumb2:
Yes this, I hear that they will marr the paint is that true? But then I hear people say they love it. Confused.I just got the Mitt, anything special compared to the sponge? What kind of soap do you use for lube when using the mitt after a full wash?

Good to know, I'll try it out with my car soap and see how it works. Glad to hear it's pretty easy to use, the sponge is too, but I've heard the mitt lasts longer.Never had the sponge... I chose the mitt because it seemed easy to use (and it is).
I use Optimum Car Wash. I don't get any marring from the mitt that I've noticed.
I didn't try the Sponge on the paint yet, but am I correct to assume that the Nanoskin sponges are supposed to be just as effective on glass as they are on paint?
On the glass, I was just letting the sponge glide over the surface with no real pressure applied. Is this the correct way to use them, or am I supposed to apply greater down pressure on the sponge?

You do need to use some down pressure, especially to remove any really stubborn stuff, which based on you're post in another thread about this, it sounded like you had some pretty stubborn stuff on the window. If you're using the medium grade one, there can be the potential for light marring when you use it on paint, but I never really look at it as an issue as I'm always going to follow it with either a compound, polish, or AIO - all of which easily take care of the marring. If you're just waxing or applying a sealant, I would use the fine grade sponge and use as minimal pressure as possible.
There can be a slight learning curve, but once you figure them out and get a system down, you'll never clay again!
