Hi All,

I'm on my way to polish my Black Corolla for second time this year, since the first time I used the old 3M Perfeft-It Swil Marck Remover, and all it did was fill the swirls as they all came back greeting me in a no so friendly manner :(

So I finally got Menzerna's IP, FPII and PO106FF (the one for ceramiclear).

I have all the 7.5" pads from LC and I'm still thinking what pads should I use and thought about posting some questions here

1- Will the FF106FF and grey pad have some cut or should use White?

2- is IP going to do something along the white pad or should I use an Orange pad?

For LSP I guess I'll go with Klasse SG and Collinite #845, since this is my Daily drive and would like to protect it as much as possible.

Sorry for sort of long post/question :D

Thanks Sparkie, I'll do that, right away

The gray pad is a finishing along woth the blue pad neither one has any cut..The white pad is for polishing ..if your marring and swirls are light to moderate it will remove some defects esp with a rotory..if that dosen't work..and i do think it will..you'll need to step upto the LC orange pad.ll

always use the least abrassive pad/polish first..check your work often and try to work in adequate lighting..stay away from the edges and tape off your trim..have fun and good luck..

Hi Joe,

Thanks, yes, I'll use a rotary so that's why I'm asking this question, since mostly of the pads/polish combinations in the forum are for PC. I'm looking forward to get rid of most of the swirls as they are light, so probably I'll just need IP and orange pad on a few scratches on the doors.

Also, the spoiler the dealer installed on the trunk looks more like an orange (orange peel 100%) so this can be a good time to try Power Gloss and yellow pad and see if I get away some orange peel :D

you mention PG.i'm guessing this is menzernas correct? if so becareful with that black paint and PG..remember the least abrassive 1st then work your way up..dont make any more work then you have to. Menzrenas products finish almost LSP ready if done correctly... beaware of process/product take your time this might save yourself a step or two ..

I'll try IP first, but as I tell you the spoiler was bad finished after painting it. I'll get :Picture:to show . It seems it wasn't sanded because it doesn't have the same reflection as the bumpers and the trunk, just orange peel wherever you see it.

keep in my mind when detailing nothing is a 100% ..you can only do so much ..sometimes if you go too far you might in up in a worse position when you started.. Take some pics ,take your time and you'll have good results..
