I have ordered my PC DA polisher and it will be here tomorrow! I will primarily be using my polisher to machine apply and take off waxes and sealants. When I ordered the PC DA it came with the blue finessing pads. I have read that they can be used to apply glaze, finishing polish, sealants, and liquid waxes. However I have watched many of the autogeek instructional videos on using the polisher and when ever they apply a wax/sealant they use the red ultra soft wax sealant one. Whats the difference? Is one better than the other? Probably a silly question but I thought I would ask. Thanks for any help!

Never used the blue pad I use black and red for wax and sealants. IMO not much difference if any.

Okay I will give the blue pad a shot, I didn't think there would be much of a difference but I wanted someones else's opinion so thanks!

I am under the impression that blue is the softest pad in the flat pad line. The CCS pads offer red.

You really don't use a DA for removing product, after you use 'the product,' use a micro-fiber towel for removal.

Once you get down to the softest pads there is not much difference they have little to no cut at all. I prefer the firmest one I can get away with to apply wax or sealants. The softer the pad the bigger and more spread apart the pores are in the foam allowing more product to settle deeper in the pad. Wasting product. When I do sealants that need to cure I will slap on a MF bonnet and use it to buff off the sealant. Then do a pass with a MF towel to bring up the gloss
