Hello all,
I just experienced a catastrophic power steering failure in my concourse condition, 4,400 mile Trans Am Collector Edition.
The plastic power steering pulley broke and then rubbed against the plastic power steering fluid reservoir, cutting clean thru it, and allowing ALL of the car's PS fluid to spew all over the engine compartment. What a friggin' mess!!
Once I take it all apart to fix, I obviously want to clean all the surfaces and remove all traces of the fluid.
I want to get it as clean as I can before taking the car to a detailer for a proper engine compartment and undercarriage cleaning & detailing.
What products and tools do I need to accomplish this?
Keep in mind that I do not have water or compressed air in the garage.
I'm assuming I need some type of degreaser? Some type of soap/cleaner?
Do I need brushes? Rags?
Please let me know what I need and where I can buy them.
Thank you.
