Questions about washing trucks and using a pressure washer

Alright guys I've got 2 questions:

1. When you guys wash trucks, what do you do to the truck bed? Do you just foam/spray it down and then actually.. dry the whole bed? (I don't have a blower atm).

2. When using the pressure washer, do you guys get close and go slowly along the car to maximize the pressure on the paint? Is that safe/dangerous for the paint? My Karcher is only 1600 PSI.

How close are you talking and what tip are you using?

I would think getting close to car/paint/engine with a pressure washer is just asking for trouble.

1. I ask the customer if they want the bed cleaned.
2. 1600 pressure wash shouldn't damage the paint at all. But you should never put the pressure wash right up on the paint.
