Maybe run them up the middle of the car? From the videos I thought that's how they went, not out the sides. Or perhaps wash before driving over them.

Mine arrived!!

This is the 5000? How well does it fit your Miata?

It fits. Barely, but it fits. The blocks don't line up perfectly with the lift points in the pinch weld, but those are really just reinforced at those points for the scissor jack. You can lift anywhere along the pinch weld as long as you are distributing the weight. The front is just a little forward of the point and the rear is very, very close to the rear lift point. If the 5000 were a few inches longer, it would not fit between the front and rear tire.

I bought the 5000 instead of the 3500 so I could lift my Mazda 6 and whatever car eventually replaces the 6. That car is super close to 3500 lbs and I suspect whatever I get next will be close to that, if not more.

I'll post up a video later so you can see how it fits with the Miata.

My connections are dripping a little ATF fluid. I gotta try and tighten them up. I like using it when i wash so i blew it dry with my master blaster but maybe I shouldn't. As someone mentioned it getting corroded

The fittings always drip a little ATF. There is supposed to be a newer style that doesn't

You'll never get all the water out, eventually rust and corrosion will take over.

could you just drape a piece of poly sheeting over it while you are washing? I imagine you could do the same with the lift assembly too if you wanted; should keep everything dry enough.
