I just wanted to double check before I place my order, the Meguiars Unigrit Finishing/Sanding Discs & the Meguiars foam interface pad will both work with a regular hook and loop backing plate, right?

Regards,

Max

What size disks are you running? I have the unigrit backing plates and they seem like they are a bit more flexible compared to a polishing backing plate. Not sure if this would affect your wet sanding. They are a bit pricey though.

I want to say it will work but maybe others will chime in. I say it will work because if you add the foam interface pad it will add plenty of movement and make the backing pad flexible. I have been using the 6" Unigrit backing pad. It has holes in it so I am sure it keeps it cool and flexible at the same time.

Forum member Oakes did that 95 hour BMW detail in which he wetsanded the car. I would maybe ask him to see what backing pad he used.
