Quick question on felt ring lube.

I ran out of 3-In-1 oil and want to lubricate the felt ring on my 3401. I'm in the middle of a job and frankly don't want to run down to Lowes. Can i use some brake pin grease on it quick? Too thick?

You have lubricated it before correct?

I would finish the job and take care of the oiling when you have time rather than trying to lubricate the ring with a substitute.

Thanks Mike, that's exactly what i did. Yes, i had initially dabbed some machine oil on it right out of the box. I just wanted to refresh it a bit because i knew i was going to do a rather long 2 step cut and buff. I'll pick up some lighter machine oil today. Danke for responding.
