Hey everyone,

I had a quick question regarding the startup of my new detailing business.

I am trying to offer both mobile and "drop-off" services. Mobile, meaning obviously I go to their location, and "drop-off", meaning, they can drop their car off at my location (my home/garage) and I work on it there.

However, I'm a little stuck on how to market that. On my business card I want to mention that I can do both, but I'm not sure exactly how to word it.

Should it be something along the lines of:

"We offer mobile as well as drop-off services!"

Just sounds a bit off to me.

Can anyone that does both chime in?
Also, a question to those of you who do both:
For the clients that drop their cars off, do you have them pick them up or do you deliver?

Thanks for the help everyone.

IMO, a business card should be as straight to the point as possible. Reference your minimum and maximum level of detailing services. ie: "Providing services from wash and wax to all inclusive, full detailing process."

For further details, those should be expressed when you hand out the card, or through your own website which should be referenced on your card.

Just sayin, I don't see how that information should be relayed on your card. Keep it simple Simon!!

This actually makes much more sense.

Thank you!!!

I agree with above. I just let my customers know when they call/e-mail/facebook message that I can go to them, or they can come to me :)

I offer delivery if within a certain range from my location, but do offer compensated delivery for further locations

I can guarantee you most people are going to look at your business card for one second, then throw it on the ground or trash can.. not being mean, it happens a lot to everyone

With the least amount of words possible, translate ONE message on the front and ONE message on the back. No more, no less

You also have to write something that will entice them to call you/get them interested

Another reason why business cards suck is people use the cheapest material out there on the market.. Is that bad? kinda

People are use to using the cheap-brittle-weak whitepaper.. so when people feel your business card with that same material... it's thrown away of natural habit

and just a FYI/TIP: if you really wanted to get business, you would get the persons contact info :).

Glad you brought this up. What sort of messages do you guys have written on your business cards to get peoples interest?

Also, as far as paper quality, I have connections to a printing company that I can get some really nice quality, thick business cards printed on.
