Had a detail day on our Tornado Red Jetta and went Gtechniq coating crazy on it.

Up was Exo V2 and C4.

But first was just a simple wash and interior deep clean on the rubber floor mats. Can you tell which are clean and which aren't?

A little C4 before and after, note Panel Wipe was used to ensure the surface was free and clean.

This was only about five to ten minutes after applying so we'll see if it fades slightly over time as it sets.

And finally as she sits, I know no sun shots unfortunately the sun was down, you can see in the picture above it was waning already by the time I was finishing it up. Hopefully tomorrow!

Thanks Mike.

Yeah didn't want to post up too many pictures since I used HD Adapt which Autogeek doesn't carry. Combined it with a Blue Uber Pad, only the hood was done since the majority of the car is still in 80-90% clean condition and coated with Opti-Coat. The hood was left untreated so I'd have a test bed for new products and it's last LSP was barely doing anything.

Detailer's Coating Prep Polish seems like a possible future product, since it's reported to leave nothing but a clean surface behind but I don't know how much cutting ability it offers. I love Menzerna but it's very oily when prepping for coatings and I find Adapt is much easier to remove the oils in prepping for a coating.

I will say the more I use Panel Wipe though I like it over CarPro Eraser, the smell isn't as good but it's very versatile, surprisingly awesome for windows as well.
