So we have a rainy pattern here and it seems to be raining every few days. In the past I just didn't bother washing my car until the pattern ended. A few years ago I was thinking it still makes sense to clean off the dirt that accumulates in between the rain events. So I find myself washing once a week even though I know it will rain in a day or two.
What do you do during the rainy season?

I really wash every weekend no matter what the weather calls for the comming week. That is till winter hits. :(

Sometimes I wipe the car down everyday. Makes things easier and quicker to clean

Quick hit of UWW+ keeps me fresh. Downside is I wish the sequioa was SOOOOOOOO BIG..

Seems to keep things easier to clean the more often it is done.

I bet most on here are super anal unless they do it for a profession and don't wanna clean there car at the end of the day.

I always push my carpet off because I am in the carpet cleaning business and it is the last thing I wanna do.... even though I take good care of it.

I try to do it every weekend it's not raining (or snowing) ... IF the wife lets me.

You can sing and clean at the same time in the garage watching it rain

Weather permitting i'll rinseless wash twice a week. If it's not forecast to rain that night i"ll do wash. I view it as maintenance for the paint + i really enjoy the process.

tell me about it, my sequoia is a pain to keep clean because of how tall it is... i think it's the tallest SUV ever made when in stock form... its ridiculous, can't even reach the center of the roof while standing on a stool. lol

i HATE work on seqioua's worse then i hate working on trucks due to the sheer size and i'm only about 5'6. But as for washing. Impala gets a good going over once a week, as long as it's not raining that weekend

We sometimes get the same weather patterns as the OP. If the skies are clear for more than two days then I will wash, if not then I will only wash if I am going out somewhere eg carshow etc.

Cheers
Phil

If you don't know yet, Optimum no rinse is your friend. 2 gallons of water, 1oz of ONR, and half a dozen mf towels will take care of a few days of dirt in about 30 minutes.

Drink coffee and smoke cigars and not worry about anything else. Life is too short to worry about dirt on my cars every few days. What's the point of buying top shelf sealants/waxes if you don't let them do their job? Rainy season is time off if your not doing this for cash. As long as the interior stay clean(ish) I'm happy, I can't see the paint when I'm driving but I can see my interior so that is what I focus on.

I wash one of our cars almost every day or night. I washed my wifes Honda CRV tonight at 10 pm. I never worry about the weather. I even wash while it's raining.

Rain! I move the car outside for a free spot free rinse. Having a good sealed coating on the car, most dirt just washes off with rain. If there is bug crud a quick soap down, then let the rain rinse it off. But then again, I'm fortunate to live in an area with little to no acid rain. I tried the same with my in-laws car in Houston, TX and was shocked with the crap in their rain. I think the car got dirtier from the rain.
