Rates

Hey gang.. I'm looking for some advice on charging rates for large apparatus, more specifically fire trucks.. I'm a former career fireman (resigned due to illness) so I have allot of connections that I'd like to make profitable. I was thinking it should be a by foot thing or should it be more of a flat base rate for pumpers / ladders / ambulance / etc.? Also what would even be a going rate for this (can't find anything to compare too)?

Most people that do RV,planes and large trucks charge by the foot. My friend charges $15 a foot.

Thank you.. I don't see it being much more of an exterior thing (painted services, crome, and diamond plating).. I was kind of leaning at $18 per foot and an extra $100-$200 for an aerial ladder
