When mixing different ratios for liquid products and it says for example: mix to 4 to 1 or 10 to one etc.
How do you determine this as some are in ounces and others in ML? Also what is considered a part when mixing?
I just want clarity before what i think and what would be a good way to do this. Thanks.

I always had trouble with this too as I use ml. In the end it just comes down to actual quantity, the measure does not matter.

Lets take this for example:

1:4 of APC solution

100ml APC to 400ml Water = 500ml of solution

Same logic applies in ounces:

10oz APC to 40oz Water = 50oz solution.

The same thing when it comes to parts.

I will randomly say 1 part is 100ml (based on my logic).

Therefore 1part APC to 4 parts Water (1:4)
= 100ml APC to 400ml Water.
 
With ratios it doesn't matter as long as you're using the same for both. Example 4:1 could mean 4oz of water to 1oz of product. 4 gallons of water to one gallon of product. 4ml of water to 1ml of product. All of these ratios are the same. It really boils down to how much you need.
