I'm not sure why they're doing well in TV ratings but I guess it's just me that's not interested. Perhaps, they're really geared for females?

Anyway, I was thinking why not have AG do a reality show? Several members of AG will serve as judges and each session, have a representative from each of the companies that AG sells products from.

The show could have 3-4 members for each show display on how to detail their car. Judges would score points for technique, speed and so on.

Since there's a huge following of car fans, I actually think it would work. I don't see the Major Networks carrying it but I do see some of the other stations like Bravo.

I would watch !

So would I but by the looks of this thread, I guess it isn't flying.

I can see contestants, each with their own car being asked to perform certain tasks from complete detailing to just interior or exterior.

Mike and his associates from AG and a guest for the week from Meguiars or some other manufacturer.

Oh, well. It was just a thought.

I may recommend it to one of the stations like Bravo.

Why not just do more of a "follow along" reality show at Autogeek? What product is Nick going to review today? Meghan trying to come up with a winning BOGO selection. The discussions with Max over what new line to carry, and how big the sale is going to be! Mike trying to find the right car for Thursday night garage.

How about a "Kitchen Nightmare" type show where Mike goes to a struggling detail shop and fixes all their mistakes!?

3 new shows, perfect. I can renew my Direct TV subscription

Cool, another good show. finally something to watch on tv

What, you can't find something in the other 800 channels??? It seems like no matter how many channels they give you, there still isn't anything to watch.

That be the truth !

Yeah, but soon we'll have the Autogeek network, AGN! I think Flash is going to have his own show "how to get kicked off the forum without really trying". Where has he been lately, anyway...DID he get kicked off?

None of the shows stand a snowballs chance in hell.

Getting a show on the air takes entertainment value, money, sponsors, money, and some kind of a hook to draw the average person in. There are not enough detailing fans in this country to do any more than is already being done. Keeping a few web sites up and running.
I am sure that most if not all viewers of this site have experienced the total lack of interest in the average joe of doing things properly when it comes to their cars. It is a really tough sell just trying to get people to not ruin their finishes when washing. 99% of the people either don't wash their cars AT ALL or just drive through the local scratch and strip tunnel.

I've actually emailed some tv stations with some ideas like these with no avail.

1) Detailer face off... Sorta like Iron Chef or Cupcake Wars

2) Detailing nightmare.... Like that show where tattoo artists fix previous f-ups

3) Detailing Restorations.... Kinda like American Restoration. Take old cars and make them look pretty

4) Hardcore Detailing... Like Hardcore Pawn where a bunch of ghetto idiots and fat chicks scream at each other out of stupidity and giving reviews of products they have never even held

Mike could easily fix a shop, but no offense to Mike, he isnt the type of person to yell and scream at people, and thats what gets the ratings :)

Only about 10% of car owners actually wash and wax their own cars. And 90% of them are males.

The math isn't there but I would watch it for sure.
