I was just curious what you all use for customer receipts?

I designed my own with space for their info, our info and the services paid for. Space for signatures on the back with disclaimers

I use a MS Word generic invoice template that i modified for my business and a separate pre- and post service inspection form as well. PM me and i can send you a copy!
Mike

I use Square. Accepts cards and does all my receipts via email to customers. Make my bookkeeping all in one place and ensures that I always have email addresses of all customers.

:iagree:

Still have QuickBooks on an older PC, just don't do enough volume these days to want to mess with it. Do use Quicken for bookkeeping and taxes though. ;)
(It'll do most of what QB does but you have to manually put a TON of categories in, as well as link to tax form(s).)

We started our mobile detailing company a few months ago. I tried a few different apps for the iPhone. If you are looking for something like that, I have been using one called Invoice Manager. It's nice because not only can you email them the receipt right away, it also has graphs showing your revenue and other things. The files can also be converted to excel format. We also have quicken but sometimes I get busy and don't update it right away so the app comes in handy to keep track.

Any suggestions for detailing software programs?? I want to manage my books, send emails etc. Trying to find something online.. have quickbooks but it does half of what i need.

What I do is i basically turned Mike Phillips VIF into a receipt/VIF. I get the customers email and then when i get home I email them a copy of it and file the original.

Found an interesting software program online. It's cloud based which is cool. Have a demo set up with them, they are called "The Auto Detailing Software Company".. We'll see..

I purchased inexpensive no-carbon-required (NCR) paper from Amazon and print the work order/authorization on 2 pages. I get one, customer gets one. No questions and infinitely flexible because the paper is blank.

The newest SquareUp Android update adds support for some thermal printers. The printers come with a cool looking software that lets you customize how your receipts look. I'm seriously thinking about going this route. The cheapest model that's compatible is around $150. Not cheap but not too expensive for adding a higher class feel to your service. Thermal printers are nice because there's no ribbon or ink to worry about running out.

Most my customers don't want a receipts and if they do I use square or quick books. Square is the easiest and the end of the sell you can just send them a receipt to their email.

Does it come 2 pages together?

If you have an iPad, you can download a invoicing app called "INVOICE 2 GO".

I use it for my mechanic business, and when I do side detailing work.

You can set it up with multiple company names. I works great.
