Refresh Auto projects

we recently had a customer come all the way down from PA to get his jeep right. he wanted all the plastics on his Jeep Wrangler brought back to life. there are not a log of before pictures as he was only in town for a couple hours for me to do this work. i did a quick wipe down with the ECO-Touch waterless car wash and then with Car-Pro Eraser. I then broke out the Solution Finish and did the work as quick as i could without missing any parts of the trim. Customer was really happy with the results. will be back for a full detail once he gets his new wheels/tires and lift on the jeep.

Really like the way Solution Finish works and how little product you need to get results like this. if you have not tried it yet, i would highly recommend you give it a shot. well worth it.

Beautiful work on the black trim Vargas!

Thanks Mike.

i had a customer recently tell me i was selling snake oil when i told him that i could bring the plastics back to black on a car. He asked me if i used a heat gun to do it, since it was the only way he knew of to get these kind of results. i had to let him know that i would never put a flame to any part of his or anybody car. thats when he told me i was selling snake oil because he knew of no such product that could do that

Nice work Vargas....

It's really rewarding on a personal level watching you continue to take the craft of detailing as well as your business to a higher level.

He simple shared his knowledge level and it's not as high as yours. Kind of gos with my article,

Detailers that hang out on discussion forums know more than detailers that don't...

Keep up the great work!

Thank Mike,

i work hard every day to educate my customers. it is slowly but surely working. i was just recently called in by a high end audio shop to come over and do a demo for one of there customers. the owner of the audio shop had read a post i put up on facebook and was really impressed with the work i was doing and the write up i did. i know have 2 vehicles to work on from there. a white VW GTI and Ford F-250

This was one big truck, but we got through it. Customer was extremely excited when he saw the end results. i met him a local car show. we talked about his truck and about he never has time to clean it. so he called me up as asked if i would take care of it for him. we did a complete detail inside out, although the inside was pretty clean. the owner owns a local high end audio shop, and i already got another referral from him.

the truck was a mess. list of products we used on this one. took 12 hrs, 3 under what i had originally quoted him.

Here is another recent project in for a new car prep. i got the car 2 days after it was purchased. it wasnt in bad shape, but if you had seen all the Iron-X doing its work you would have been surprised. I didnt get any before process pics, the grass crew guys showed up a day early so i was rushing to beat them to my yard. there are some befores the customer took and sent me. it was a cloudy day, so i didnt get any sun shots.

Process:

wheels cleaned with Sonax Wheel Cleaner Plus, for being new wheels they were bleeding like crazy, but i didn't get a shot of it.
Iron-X to entire car, if it was only a white car you could have seen how bad this car really was.
Snow Foam with CG Mr.Pink
Nanoskin with CG Mr.Pink, sounded like sand paper while cleaning the car
dried it off with the Cobra Waffle Weave towels then hit it with the MetroVac Sidekick to get that last bit of water off.
Test spot showed that Flex 3401 w/white LC hyrid pad and WG Finish Glaze was going to get the results i was looking for.
Glass was cleaned with Optimum Clean & Protect

Here are the customers pics before the car arrived

Here are the afters, even though the sun was not out the car came out great. topped it off with Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant, Wolfgang Exterior Trim Sealant and tires were treated with Wolfgang Black Diamond Tire Gel

this was such a nice car. Acura did really good with this design

here is my latest one, coating our 2012 Honda Civic. coated the car with Bulletproof and the glass with Fly By Forte from CarPro. polished with the the DRC-1000 white pads and Wolfgang Finish Glaze with my Flex 3401. this finish came out real nice and slick.

Its been a while since i posted. i have been busy with out move to TX and i am now getting back into the swing of things. here is one of my all time favorite cars. this is a 68 Camaro that we started out washing with Iron-X Snow foam and fine nano-skin mitt. we switched over to Wolfgang Uber Compound followed by Finishing Glaze, and to top it off we used AmeriCoat.
