Reload, wax, or another sealant over CQuartz?

I already have 2 bottles of CQuartz and I've applied the stuff to a few different cars already. Now I'm ready to put it on my own cars. I know over time as with most stuff, it loses its super slick just applied feeling. Hence this is probably why Reload was born. Reload is a sealant, what is CQuartz considered then? Is Reload my best option for CQuartz or can I use another sealant instead? Also, I searched, but maybe not good enough, I hear that you can use wax over sealant too. Is their any reason to do all 3? Would I benefit at all? I don't mind the work, I just want it as slick and a deep shine as possible.

CQuartz is a ceramic coating. Its in that new coating class of LSP's that is neither a wax or sealant. I would use Reload since it was formulated for use with CQuartz. You could try to use some other wax/sealant on the CQuartz and see how it holds up.

I use Reload quite a bit with excellent results. It's so durable / easy to use and works so well over CQuartz that I have no desire to use anything else.

Thanks for the info. I thought it was something else like that. You usually just think wax or sealant as a LSP. I'll probably just use the Reload, but others are tempting.

What about waxing over Reload guys? It's a sealant and I've seen many people put wax over sealants. Or maybe go with BFWD with a wax instead? I wanted the CQuartz for it's long lasting protection, but mainly for its tough scratch resistance. As it is my car will last over a year of looking fantastic with some Zaino Z2/Z5. It gets QD'd at least once a week. It might get washed twice a year, that's how clean it stays. It doesn't get driven a lot and stays under a car cover in the garage most of the time. I'm going to do a very light polish on it and CQuartz, then see how it holds up.

Reload.

It gives that "super slick" feeling that you don't get from CQuartz.

Besides, none of us are really satisfied unless we are doing something to our cars finishes.

I'd never thought of synergy/synergistic being applicable to 'detailing' until after reading, and truly comprehending, Mike Phillips' definition of how 'detail products' are formulated to "work together".

Looking back at the different methods and products I've used over the years, I sometimes, unknowingly, went the synergistic way. Other times not so much.

It always seemed that by using products in the same product-line (often sequentially, I may add) produced what was promised on the bottle (M.P.).

Other times "mixing it up a little bit"...experimentation, if you will...oftentimes created more: 'product interaction work-effort', with 'mixed results'...Some acceptable to my expectations, some not.

I will assume that CarPro products have been "synergistically formulated". Of course, knowing that this would be indeed a factitive, hasn't deterred folks from experimenting otherwise.

Your 'methods of experimenting' outside a product-line, will be, of course, your decision, when all is said and done.

I agree with the comments above, OP. That being said, I do find that I "experiment" a fair amount, for no other reason than to simply goof around. For example, I have OC on my personal car and frequently wax over, realizing that it won't last. With that being said - on CQuartz, I would only use Reload. I find it looks really good on black vehicles (for example) by itself. Besides, like it was already mentioned, Reload does give that nice slick feeling that we all lust for.

Reload it is then! Thanks everyone for the help

I've been using CQ for 1.5 years. ReLoad, Aquawax and Permanon Platinum are all great toppers to it.
