I should start out by saying this was only for fun and to see if I could do it. I would never recommend this aggressive of an approach with sanding without stepping it out. However, this is my guinea pig car (: Jason Killmer shared a video yesterday that really just made me want to push myself and see what I'm capable of. He took out 1000 grit with m205 and I was blown away. I wanted to see how far it could be taken.

So...this is a Lexus IS300, wetsanded with 600 grit paper. I'm using a Rupes 21 with Meguiar's mf cut pad and Shine Supply Classic Polish. Yes I said Polish (: It took me 3 pretty long passes to make it happen but the point is, it happened. Scratches removed, nothing burnt. The video is a bit long but it does show the whole process, even showing it's 600 grit paper. The end shows the results after a Throwback wipedown (Shine Supply's paint cleanser)..pure glossy and flat paint.

If you work it long enough with the right products anyone can do that.

Nice video OP. Looks like an excellent product. I think Shine Supply is on the brink of having a huge break out in the detail world.

Shine supply products are KILLER! Jeremy is the man. Great work

It can certainly be done faster with a different process, but that should not take away from the awesome results that can be achieved with classic cut, or the quality that's been achieved in the video.

Based on the number of posts here just in the past week or two, I disagree that anyone can do it; some posts have come from quite talented folks. Here's 5 I found in about a minute of scrolling.

Absolutely, there are many different processes, and I'd never recommend actually doing this. I just like to test my limits and see what a polish can really do.

How does ine remove 1000 grit marks with M205?
Same process as this video removing 600 grit with Classic Polish

No problem!

I apologize to anybody who thinks I am promoting a product or brand. That is NOT the case and NOT why I posted this. I can bet money I can do the same with any polish sold on Autogeek. I was simply showing and explaining my process. This was about just having fun, not people getting butthurt over what products are used. Look beyond that and have fun with it. I posted here simply because it is the most active in my opinion. Once again..to admins seeing this I apologize if it came across wrong.

It used to be that no one could post about a product that AG did not sell. When they bought out Autopia completely it became a more open forum. The rules have relaxed a little more since. I would still not post up links to products outside of the Autogeek line up though
