Hi there,

I have an exhaust that has burnt titanium tips but I want to remove the blue and just have them look polished. I am not quite sure how to achieve this without ruining the exhaust tips. Has anyone done this or have any advice on how to achieve this?

I thought the bluing was the trademark
of Ti exhaust tips. :dunno:

Oh well...You could always try to sand-away
the bluing; use some Mothers Mag & Alum-
inum polish/compound; etc.; etc. Or send
them to a Chroming shop.

On the other hand (AFAIK):
a little touch of rice never killed anybody.

I too thought the blueing came about when the titanium was heated. I’ve never seen titanium tips without the blue.

Autosol Blueing Remover does the trick.

Unsure if Autogeek sells an equivalent product so have recommended something dedicated.

I was thinking to just wet sand all the burnt look off starting with 300 grit.
