First time post. Had a beautiful paint job done on my 1987 Buick Grand National but apparently my painter didn't put enough effort into protecting the underneath of the car from overspray. I have overspray on all my new powder coated control arms, polished exhaust system, rearend and gas tank. Anyone know of a product that will remove etching primer. This stuff laughs and any product I throw at it. Even tried lacquer thinner on the polished stainless exhaust and nothing works. Help. Was ready to hang the guy who did it and don't want him touching it.View attachment 58748

Mineral spirits? Try that.

I will give my friend (painter) a call and find out what he uses to remove overspray. I had yellow "dried" on paint from road paint that splattered all over the side of my "bright red" MGA. He gave me something from his bench at the shop.

Called Fabian, he said to use a reducer or a compound. Get the reducer from the shop that did your car to save $$$.

Welcome to AutoGeekOnline! Beautiful Grand National you have there.

I would use a fast acting paint thinner. Be careful with it and always try out in a test spot that is hard to see.
