Well someone thought it wise to stick gum to my truck, twice..... I not really sure how to remove the leftovers from when I pulled the gum off. The best I can think of is bug and tar remover, however I feel if i scrub it'll just spread the gum residue around. How would you go about it?

Vegetable Oil will dissolve chewing gum.

So will Peanut Butter but it's not the Peanut part of Peanut Butter it's the oils part.

Probably Goo Gone, Goof-off and Stoner's Xenit would all work too...

Heck, even a light paint cleaner should work to remove it...

Some would recommend WD-40, I don't normally recommend this for paint work when there are other options available but on clear coats I don't think it's going to cause any harm.

Apply any of the above to a soft foam or microfiber applicator pad and then gently work over the gum residue and then wipe the entire mess off.

Be sure to re-wax this area.

:)

Sweet, thanks. Can't believe some people these days.

I can vouch for goof off/goo gone. Someone stick a piece to my side window and it left a long streak of gun when I put the window up. The goof off stuff took it off easily.
