Removing over spray on flat black paint

Hi Mike I got a call from a customer who had there bike parked near a construction site. They got over spray all over the seat (leather) tank and fenders.
I need to know is it ok to remove the overspray with the speedys prep towle on flat black paint, if not what should I use.
