Mike, or anyone in the field of painting drag race boats, I've got a question.
I'm painting only the back side of a drag race boat, the part that actually touches the water while racing. The customer believes originally when it was blueprinted that it was painted with enamel with a final sanding of 320 grit. Usually I wouldn't think enamel would bond correctly to Gelcoat, but this paint has been there for 15 years.
Anyone have any ideas on what's the best paint for speed through the water? And what sanding process is used?
