Need help from group.

Couple weeks ago wife drive and hit a pillar on passenger side, bumper, fender damages. The passenger side wheel was pushed back toward back of car may .5 to .75 inch.
State Farm repair shop reco replacing lower control arm, strut and alignment.

The car drives fine and straight. But as you can see from the pic. On driver side, I have room to fit 4 fingers between fender and tire vs I have to squeeze all fingers on passenger side.

Called the repair shop, said it's normal. Not all car's wheels are align perfectly.

Should I be worry? Or is it acceptable?

Is the gap the result of a bent body panel, or is the car not level, i.e. wheel gap is different from side-to-side? What do you mean by "not all of the cars wheels are aligned perfectly"? Are the tires visibly crooked in some way? How is the steering? Does the car pull badly to one side?

I would say it is not normal for the wheel gaps to be that far off, if at all. I have heard of some new shocks/struts sometimes being a little longer when new and then settle to the normal ride height after a day or two, but I've not experienced it personally.

The picture actually turned side way.

The black piece is actually the splash guard.

Dropped the car off at dealership this morning to recheck. They are saying could be fender not on perfectly. They will run the alignment again if it's meet requirement then nothing else to fix
