Customer came up from Houston and a local Mazda dealer quoted her about $900 for a new pair of lights but looked me up online for her to save some money. She mentioned on the phone someone had cleaned them up before and they were pretty scratched so I told her most moderate scratches can be removed but deep ones cannot. Booked her within the hour and when I got to the house, my jaw almost dropped. It looked like they took 120 grit sandpaper and then used 80 grit to try and clean up the scratches. Roll up the sleeves and do work!

I didn't have to fire my biggest missiles this time because they are a slightly soft plastic but I took some extra time just because of what a poor job they had done for her in the past. After I was done, I found out her dad did the restoration attempt. So, without being too harsh I said customers can sometimes get too aggressive and do more harm than good. I'm very pleased with the way they turned out and ~95% correction rate put a smile on both of their faces. :dblthumb2:

nice save, i can imagine how thrilled she must of been! talk about poor visibility, i don't know how she could see what's in front of her at nightime...

Nice work, how about sharing what products and technique you used to get those amazing results.

Those were prey messed up nice work! I'd love to hear more on product/process too!

Looks great! Also would like to here what you did/use and would you use the same process if they were just yellow/haze

Nice turnaround. I would also be interested in the steps taken.

Thanks for the compliments, guys! Surprisingly, it only took 800 grit by hand to get a clean slate going, then work my way up to 2000. Hit them with the Wolfgang twins and they're ready to coat with the LSP of your choice.

She was definitely impressed with the results so if she needs a restoration on another vehicle, I'm sure she'll call me again.

Kind of scared me there and saw houston and thought I did the work lol jk where are you at?

how quickly will this fade back with only an LSP and not a true permanent coating applied? very nice save buddy!
