Respray went well but they scratched up my car!

So I had a scrape on my bumper and got it and got it fixed. However they hand washed my car a few times because it rained and they swirled it up. Also put crappy tire shine over my tires I've already coated.
So I went to a paint shop to get my bumper fixed AND swirl up my entire car's body.
Did they have to/was there a purpose to wash it? I would have asked them to not if I knew they would. I washed it before I gave it to them.

Did they completely ignore the sign you hung from the mirror that says "Do NOT Wash this Car!" ?

I do that when I take my car to the dealer. Didn't think about it at the paint shop
