Restore old outside seals

What do you use to restore outside seals on old cars? I'm looking for product that lasts more than one rainy day. Can I use Owatrol Polytrol on seals?

weather seals…this:

Can I use Owatrol Polytrol on seals?

-I won’t use it on seals.
-However: YMMV.

For rubber seals, dielectric grease cleans and lubricates the rubber. It might swell the rubber as well, but I'm not exactly sure on that.
