Hey guys, havn't posted here in a while. But we just fixed the family boat (brand new Mercruiser Mag Bravo 357 engine) and outdrive, new leather upholstery and full awesome sound system installed, (EVERYTHING done by me except the rear leather upholstered seats).
Anyway I've spent about 2 full weeks restoring the boat (between waiting on gadgets and things here and there to be shipped and waiting for orders).
I couldn't get the gel coat to a FULL high gloss/reflection paint finish but it did come out pretty great. There was some HEAVY DEEP oxidation that looks like it was burned through all of the layers of gel coat that just wouldn't come out no matter what I tried, even wet sanding those little spots but it's okay.
products used:
washed with dawn soap
gel coat- Marine 31 gel coat heavy-cut oxidation cleaner
Marine 31 Gel coat gloss and color restore
Four Starr Ultimate Paint Protection
I cleaned the bow and rear fiberglass of the boat with simple green mixed with dawn soap to remove the dirt residue and brighten up the fiberglass to like-new.
I dont have pictures of the interior when I finished cleaning/detailing it but I will snap some back when I get the boat back from the mechanic who is adjusting the idle for us.
Anyway, on to the pics
YES I KNOW! I am a photographer as well i should of used the canon 5d mark II but i was just exhausted and snapped pics with my iphone 5 along the way so the picture quality isn't the best.

the bottom paint is going to get sanded and repainted with anti-foul paint with some nice new black paint
Let me know what you guys think!
I will be detailing my car very soon as well so stay tuned!
