First up to review from the new CarPro products is CarPro DarkSide.

I was sent this product to test out by CarPro.

DarkSide is the newest tire product offering from CarPro. This is a nan-sealant that will offer longer durability than CarPro Perl but not as long as CarPro BlackOut.

Application is straight forward as shown in my video. It is also holding up well at 2 weeks and handling some rain without being washed off.

The claimed durability on the bottle is 3+ months. Yeah that is not happening on a daily driver. From other testing I am seeing about 6 weeks. On a garaged vehicle that is possible as they are not usually washed as often.

It does leave a nice finish. If one is looking for gloss this is not the product for you.

Appreciate the watch.

This is interesting.

I don't mind the look of Perl, but the durability isn't very good. Six weeks would put it past my favorite, 253, by about two weeks on most tires.

Have you tried it on multiple brands of tires? The Michelin curse is real and I have a hard time dressing tires from that brand.

Yeah, PERL is one of few dressings compatible with Michelin. I am due for new tires and I will not be getting new Michelins. Pirelli always served me well.

The Turtle Wax Graphene is supposed to be very good.

Thanks for the review Guz.

DG 253 works excellent on my Michelins.

I’m definitely getting DG 253 no matter what tires I get

Some will ask and some will say they are the same product but just relabeled.

I put Gyeon Q2 Tire and CarPro DarkSide side by side on one of the tires. What I will say is the consistency is the same and the look is similar.

Tried to get some decent angles of the sheen.

I was about to type that question- but you beat me to it.

From that, I think there is a slight edge to Darkside in terms of my preferences.

Would love to hear your thoughts on cleaning/removing Darkside too.

Looking at the photos comparing with Gyeon G2 both products look pretty shiny and glossy. Does that tone down some as they dry? Based on those photos, it is glossier than Perl (at least the amount I apply) and probably not something I would be interested in.

Best way to see the appearance is on the video as I have documented how it looks the day after and 2 weeks. I don't have photos of the tires at the moment.

I like the dark satin sheen it provides. I’m currently using Jescar tire and trim protectant. After surgically cleaning tires with McKees 37 tire and rubber rejuvenator I get 3-4 weeks at most of durability. May try this and duragloss 253. I see that is highly recommended. Thanks for review.

Thanks. I figured as much. That's the down side of not being able to watch the videos at the moment.

Jescar is good. For me it went 6 weeks which is really good. I am testing Jescar side by side with DarkSide at the moment to see how they perform against each other.

Totally understand. If I had a photo I would have posted it. It is a stain appearance.

I used Gyeon Q2 Tire for a while, I could get it down to a satin sheen but it's naturally a shiner dressing. I'm not sure I will jump on Darkside, mainly because I feel like it will sit at the back of the cabinet like Q2 has been for a long time now.

This was Q2 at it's best -

Great review as always.
Does YouTube pay more if the video is lenghty?

That’s exactly where my Q2 sits. I don’t have much left in the bottle. But it’s on the verge of being trashed.
