Review: Dodo Juice Black Widow Wax - LIMITED EDITION!
Black Widow Wax for black paint and dark colored cars
At our recent Thursday Night Detailing Class we restored a show car finish to a BLACK 1987 Buick Regal T-Type WE4 Turbo. This was my chance to test out the newest wax created by Dodo Juice Carnauba Car Waxes - their Dodo Juice Black Widow Wax.
This is a traditional hard paste wax but it's not hard to use. In fact it's incredibly easy to use. Simply take a clean soft foam wax applicator pad and spin it on top of the wax in the jar and this will liquefy the wax enough to let it seep into the foam. The spread the wax out over the paint using overlapping circular motions. Apply a thin layer and allow the wax to dry to a haze. Then remove using a clean, soft microfiber towel. Very simple and like all Dodo Juice paste waxes the process of hand applying a traditional paste wax is like form of therapy that is both relaxing and fun.
Besides Carnauba, Dodo Juice Black Widow Wax also contains Montan Wax to really bring out the depth and full richness of color. This is technically a finishing wax or show car wax meaning there are no cleaners, abrasives or harsh solvents. It's the opposite of a cleaner/wax or AIO. This means it should only be applied to paint that is new, like new or has been previously compounded and polished to restore a like new finish.
Here's the results on the 1987 Buick Regal T-Type WE4 Turbo after machine compounding, polishing and then hand-application of the Dodo Juice Black Widow Wax.
If you're a fan of Dodo Juice Carnauba Waxes or traditional paste waxes in general then get a jar of this limited production Dodo Juice Black Widow Wax. There's also a hidden Black Widow Spider inside the wax, which is just part of the craziness we all know the guys behind Dodo Juice products are known for...
