Just a quick review of the new to me product

Condition for interior:
The interior is well maintained. Just need a clean up due to dust and dirty

I previously used these products on my interior:
Megs. M40
Megs. Ultimate Protectant
Megs. Gold class protectant.

Applied with a microfiber pad.

Pros of DP:
The smell is a nice banana sent, not over powering just a nice clean fruity sent. I guess this could be a con if you hate bananas!
It is NOT greasy at all. As soon as I wiped a section and it was already soaking in.
Its a matte shine. I cant stand a shinny dash, the glare is awful, Im sure we have all made that mistake once!

Cons:
It did streak some on hard plastic on the door. What you see sometime around the window and lock controls on the door. I applied if a few time to those areas and it finally stopped streaking.
I had to go over the top of the dash twice to remove all the dust.

Durability: I cant comment on that as I just applied it today.

Cleaning power: The label says it has some cleaners, it cleaned up the cup holders that had some coffee/ soda spilled in them. Also cleaned up some dirt around the lower part of the door vinyl area. Any heavy soiling you will probably need a separate cleaner.

Over all Im happy with this product. The streaking could have been b/c I didnt clean off any previous dressing, but I wanted to test the cleaning power of DP and it seemed pretty decent for regular dust and minor dirt. A product to add to your wish list!

Thanks Jeff120, Nice quick review.
I was wondering about this product, after all it is on BOGO!

This is my favorite interior protectant bar NONE. When after you apply it, follow up with a dry microfiber towel to kind buff the smooth plastic parts you are referring to. No more streaks.

Thanks for the review Jeff. Just to be clear you didn't clean the interior before protecting right? You just repeated using the protectant untill it seemed clean enough? I would think you would want to clean it first. Were you just testing its cleaning power?

i love d/p but im more into the matt look..

DP does have a matte shine to it.

The interior wasnt dirty, just some dust. The DP label says it works on lightly soiled interiors so I was testing that as far a cleaning power. I keep up with my interior and wanted something similar to Megs. M40 which is also a cleaner/conditioner that I really like, I just hate the fake leather smell of M40. Dp seems to fit the bill.

Thanks, I haven't tried it as I use Ultima Interior or 303AP. I love the DP total interior cleaner for cleaning though.

Thanks Jeff!

I have some of this in an order right now so I'm glad to see someone has posted their experience and opinion. Personally I've had great luck with DP products and I'm anxious to give this a try as well........:props:

A bump because I love this stuff, I've totally stopped looking for another interior protectant and I'm a product JUNKIE.

Well written Jeff. I like it a lot! It is a little more lustrous than Optimum and I like the look a little better too.

Thanks tiger,
An update about a month and a half later and it still looks good. Seems to repel some dust and the matte shine is still going strong. Only con Im seeing is I have some spots on my door where rain has hit. I always hate that and try and hurry to get in as soon as I can when its raining!

Thanks for the update Jeff! Just read your review again. I love the Banana smell in the DP TIC! (I'm assuming it smells very similar) One of my favorite product scents.

I'm not a fan of the banana smell but the stuff is amazing at how it can restore a very dried up dash. I doubt I will ever finish the bottle I have now.

Just wanted to bump this thread because I just tried it out and its BOGO. I used their cleaner first, then applied the protectant.

It has a very matte look, more so than anything Ive used. I would say it has close to zero gloss. It does darken, I could see on my dash where I hit it from one side before I hit the other, but once its applied its hard to distinguish where it is because there is no shine.

Both it and the cleaner have a bannana scent, so if that turns you off thats the only negative I can think of. I cant comment on the longevity, but the bottle says to re apply every few weeks.

I was using 303 for the interior, which although has reasonably low gloss, it has a clearly higher gloss than the DP.

Oh and just for kicks I went ahead and sprayed down one seat to see if it would gloss up if overapplied. It did not, I wiped it with the same cloth I had applied it to everything else and it dried to the same matte look.

I wonder if they formula changed when it became Detailer's Pro. I have some from a year ago and it seemed to be glossier (even when buffed) than 303. It does have the banana scent.

Maybe its my application method. I applied them both the same, squirted a MF rag and wiped on. The 303 left a visible coating on everything. In fact, the seats that handnt been ridden in still looked like they had a thick film on them. I wasnt sure if it was correct to buff off so I left it. The DP left no visible coating, so I didnt buff it either. Perhaps I was supposed to buff the 303?

Did you clean the surface first? I always clean before applying something new. For the 303 I used Optimium APC diluted 3:1 and for the DP I used their cleaner.

Ive heard if you just apply one thing over another it can really leave a build up.

The one I have is from before the name change, it isnt very glossy as all, nothing like 303 for sure.

A good bump! I've used and reviewed this product since last I saw this thread and it is indeed an excellent product imo as well.
