ECO Touch Wheel Cleaner

Thanks to Jason @ Eco Touch and Nick from AG for the awesome giveaway and chance to review some products. I think all the winners expected to get only one item but Jason was kind enough to basically send us all 80% of the product line to test. Thanks Jason!

Manufacturer Claims:
Eco Touch Wheel Cleaner is formulated for the detailer that wants clean wheels without compromising the wheel finish. Eco Touch Wheel Cleaner is a powerful formula that removes brake dust and eliminates streaks, smudges and greasy residue. Free of harsh acids and glycol-ethers, Wheel Cleaner reveals a deep lustrous shine both you and the planet will love.

Thoughts:
I will state I used this more of a tire cleaner as well. Seeing as how in the past, anything I've used on wheels I've used on tires. Call me lazy, but it just works. :-). Anyway! my goal was to strip and clean my tires of previous dressings to apply ECO Touch Tire Shine for a review of that as well. I was really pleased by the cleaning power of this all natural product. But what I loved most was the foaming action of the trigger sprayer provided, and the cling of the foam created. The foaming sprayer they provide with the bottle is PHENOMINAL. I will be searching out where to find more of these.

The product itself and the trigger create and immense foam that is really clingy. Look at the photo below, I took some really bad shots with my iphone as I worked but as you can see, it foams nice and clings. After scrubbing with my brush and rinsing off, the tires were left pretty clean and clear. Exactly what I wanted for a fresh base of tire gel!

Pros:
Cheap, at 8.99 for 24oz, I would've paid for this. Heck the trigger alone is worth 25% of the admission. It's that good of a trigger and sprayer. I believe now you can get a gallon of the Wheel Cleaner for like 17.99 here on AG. Heck of a deal

Nice clingy foam

Great sprayer

Didn't really notice a positive or negative smell of the product

Cons:
None that I can tell so far, I haven't tried it on really dirty tires and wheels yet unfortunately. So strength of cleaning I cannot determine at this time. My tires weren't dirty but it did a good job of stripping my previous dressing as far as I could tell.

All in all, for the price, the trigger sprayer and ability to clean my wheels I'd use it again and would definitely suggest you check it out considering the jump in price and quantity isn't that bad.

Enjoy

So today I used an empty ECO TOUCH wheel cleaner spray bottle for CG's Diablo. I went down to clean the wheels and the Diablo didn't foam up like the ECO TOUCH wheel cleaner does. In addition to that with every spray the Diablo would leak out alittle bit, any reason you guys can think of hereFeed back please

Diablo, maybe too thick to come out in a proper manner? Maybe try diluting it some, with some distilled water, then try spraying? :props: Just some thoughts!

Thanks Rolla, I will try that as its been mixed at a 3;1 ratio right now, so maybe it needs to be cut down some more.

i use at 4:1 and it works just the same...

The ECO Touch wheel cleaner turns brown when I apply it to the tires!!! It cleans just about as well as Meguiars Super Degreaser. I like that you can see the foam working with the ECO though.

Diablo isn't made to foam. It's a gel formula that clings to your wheels. I would cut it down to 4:1, that 's how I use it with great results!

Thanks for sharing. I'm going to be trying this wheel cleaner on some dirty ones this weekend!

I dont understand i just purchased this from AGO and my sprayer does not foam at all... its just a plain sprayer. Little disappointed.

AG doesn't supply the sprayers, thats all from Eco Touch. Maybe yours was an older batch, or just a mistake. I bet if you contacted eco touch, they'd hook you up.:dblthumb2:

They posted somewhere fairly recently that they were changing their sprayers to foam, so it was probably an old one that snuck under the radar.

Yesterday while cleaning the wheels and tires with ECO Touch, I noticed that the wheel wells were very dirty. I have always just powerwashed them and hit them with a brush. Since I was doing a waterless and didnt have the hose out / the car was already dry, I decided to see how well the ECO Touch wheel cleaner would do on them using the same method.
1. Spray wheel cleaner
2. Scrub with old brush
3. Wipe with MF towel

Turned out pretty good. I have found a new use!!!

Should include a "before and after" on those tires, LOL!
