Griot's Garage Spray-On Wax enhances your existing wax with additional protection and gloss. Use it after every wash to reinforce paint protection in minutes. Griot's Garage Spray-On Wax gives your vehicle the look and feel of a just-waxed finish, and all you have to do is spray and wipe.

Well I got a chance to finally try out something from Griot's Garage. This Spray-On Wax definitley has a good amount of wax in it. Though it had a nice tropical scent, the unmistakable smell of wax was also easily detected. The 'Finest Sprayer' as Griot's calls it, is also very nice. You can adjust from a straight stream to a fine mist. There's also no messy drip that I've seen on other sprayers.

After a quick ONR wash and blot dry, I was ready to try the out the spray wax. Using a Cobra MF towel and a couple quick spritz, I buffed down the spray wax, turned to a clean side of my towel and gave it a quick buff to wipe off the remaining product. The surface was pretty slick, had a deep gloss but was a tad bit streaky. The recent rains and high humidity probably played a part in the streakiness.

The overall look was fantastic for a spray wax. The light was just right to see the depth and warm glow. I look forward to trying this spray wax out again on different cars.

Here's how I would rate this spray wax:

pros-bottle and sprayer, ease of use, deep glow, doesn't stain trim, this is a true spray wax.

I just snagged a bottle, and too was waiting to review. It appears you did this on a dry finish, bottle suggests it can be used on wet surface too do you think it will control the streaking ??
 
well, I did dry most of the water off. Surface wasn't completely dry but yeah next time I'll leave it wet and then apply.
 
looks like you have one handy partner there (or two) ...pay him well ! I have a 4 year old and 2 yr old, he gets 1.00 to EZ-Detail the tires. He charges grandpa double and likely has more cash in his pockets than daddy !
 
Thanks for the review I have been thinking of trying this but I liek OCW so much it makes it hard
 
I've used Griot's Spray Wax on cars both dry and wet. It definitely works better with the car still wet but does a fine job either way.
 
I have some pictures of my neighbors boat from this weekend. After he took the boat out he washed and dried. This was a perfect chance to try out the Griot's Spray Wax again. He recently did a cleaner wax on the entire boat so it had a nice base for the spray wax. Both of us were very impressed at how slick the surface was after applying the Griot's. The shine and reflection was also awesome. I wish I would have snapped a shot from a distance but oh well. I'll put the pics up in a few.
 
Anybody have any information on the durability of this stuff? Granted spray waxes are so easy to use, I end up using them almost weekly, it's nice to know that my Optimum Car Wax will last up to 5 months if I need it to. Very handy during the harsh winter months here in New Jersey.

Well, sorry it took so long but I mentioned my 2nd experiment with Griot's Spray On Wax which was actually my neighbor doing all the hard work sprucing up the finish on his fishing boat. As I said, he previously did a decent clean up using the cheapo chicago rotary and some cleaner wax. After a day in the river, he washed the boat. I then brought over the Griot's and a couple MF towels. My neighbor doesn't completely buy into all this boutique stuff but I value his opinion more because of this. He was very impressed with how slick and reflective the finish was and said it looked better than when he finished buffing for an entire weekend.

I've used Griot's spray on wax since our Mini Cooper was new, and it's really helped keep it looking like new. If I'm pressed for time, I use it while I'm drying the car after a wash. Great stuff.
 
I'm new so bear with me please. Will this spray on wax work on plastic trim or do I have to be careful when I apply it? I have a Honda Element with lots of plastic (in good condition) but getting the wax off of a mistake takes lots of time.

Griot's own ad copy says the Spray on Wax is intended to add some protection from wash to wash to replenish what's been lost due to weather and washing. It's not nor is intended to be long term.

I find it most useful during the winter months when it's too cold to hand wash my daily drivers and have to use a commercial car wash. I spray it on after the car wash.

It is a quality product that does what it's advertised to do. You won't go wrong using it.
