Review: Pinnacle’s new glass trio

Pinnacle Crystal Clear Glass Cleaner with Water Repellent
Pinnacle GlassWork Water Spot Remover, hard water spot remover, glass water spot remover, glass polish, water spot remover for cars
Pinnacle GlassCoat Window Sealant with Rain Repellent, glass protectant, windshield sealant

First off I hate cleaning glass, one my least favorite parts to detailing, that is until now. I have used various OTC glass products for general cleaning and all left the glass streaked or a haze would generate couple of hours later.

We will use my passenger rear window on my 2010 TSX as the point of reference; the glass is dirty and has waterspots.

First I used the Crystal Clear Glass Cleaner, it has a really pleasant smell and wasn’t as runny as I expected it to be and I even over sprayed it to show it. Honestly you only need 1 to 2 sprays of this.

Next the glass is clean but still it has marks on it, this is when I went for the GlassWork Water Spot Remover.

Applied with a MF pad and removed with MF towel and Glass cleaner.

And the final product!!! For sealing the glass I stole some of my wifes makeup pads, the kind that came with the Gtechniq G1. It makes applying the Glasscoat Window Sealant a lot easier and less product waste.

Final Thoughts, It works. The glass cleaner alone does not streak and can be used inside and out. The Waterspot remover actually works, the glass waterspot remover market is saturated with mediocre products and it’s great to finally see something that works. The sealant is the icing on the cake, I want to see how this holds up on chilly mornings with frost in WV.

Enjoy and feel free to ask questions

looks great. I believe were all in the same boat in hating doing windows....almost as much as interiors.

Glad to see something that works on waterspots.

Great review. Great tip on the make up sponges. I am going to have to give them a try with Glass Coat.

Thanks for the nice write up. This seems to be the year for glass products.

Thanks Gents. Yea defiantly year for glass. I have G1 on my TL and CRV excited to see how the pinnacle hold on this car.

Just a tip to make things a little easier, I had a empty spray bottle so I now spray the product on to the glass and spread with the makeup pads.

A little update and observation..For low speed driving I have noticed that Pinnacle sheets the water alot faster than the Gtech I have one of my cars.

If you do alot of city driving this would be a better buy, but cant update on durability yet.

I'm interested in how long the sealant lasts. Right now I use collinite 845 and it works well and lasts a long time for a daily driver.

Ill try to update this thread with that info. Ill be honest the 16oz bottle will last a lifetime. It only takes 5 minutes to clean the apply the sealant. In harsh conditions this will last about a month, heres the quote from the product page

"Those who frequently travel or live in areas where it rains regularly should apply Pinnacle GlassCoat Window Sealant with Rain Repellent monthly. Those who drive less frequently or live in drier climates should apply Pinnacle GlassCoat Window Sealant with Rain Repellent every 3-6 months."

After seeing ur thread i was so convinced that I went and order some of these new glass products lol
I always had problem cleaning my windows and not to mention the nasty stuff that is on it. Always just been using swirl removers on glass

Awesome :xyxthumbs:

Glass on my parents expedition was pretty bad, I had to use my DA with a orange pad, but took care of 80% or so of the defects.

I will be impressed

Any updates on the sealant Bigbull?

I know you've said you've used G1, but have you had any experience with G5?

Thank you for the review. I have some of the new sealant and love it. It is a lot easier to apply and remove than OTC products and the water beading is excellent. A little bit goes a long way and I'm sure the two I got on BOGO will last a long time. I haven't tried the water spot remover yet but will get some soon.

I personally think this glass coating is very nice, leaves a slick finish and it does keep the windshield nice and clean.

Problem is how long will this last, I'm also very curious about the gtechniq glass coating.

Hey Chris, so far so good, on my 2010 Acura I have G1 and my 2001 TL and wifeys Crv I have the Pinnacle.

I had a chance to experience a wide variety of weather too.

On freezing cold morning when there is tons of frost the Pinnacle does help with the defrosting quicker, but G1 has a edge here.

Durability, I have been really happy with the Pinnacle, lets think about the price point, its alot cheaper than G1 and in severe condition Pinnacle recommends applying it once a month, and I still have not had to reapply since the review. I experienced heavy rain from sandy to snow.

Another area the pinnacle shines is in low speed driving. You need to be driving above 35 almost 40mph before the G1 starts moving the water. With Pinnacle, the water was sheeting at 20mph :righton:

The 16oz bottle of the sealant should last you years and years so its a all around great buy.

The Glass cleaner, my wife used it and fell in love with it. As soon as I am out I will have to buy the gallon of it:props:

Thanks for the review. Can't wait to try the 3 products.
