Review:Pinnacle Black Label Hide-Soft Leather Kit

Pinnacle Black Label 850 has been a huge release for PBMG, every product has worked great and has a place in your arsenal of detailing products; but the products that impressed me the most are the interior trio. Left the interior with a nice but not too overpowering smell of fresh leather and silky smooth feel even from the leather conditioner.

Description of the individual products, you can buy the kit or buy them individually. I recommend the kit since it’s a better value and you get 2 awesome towels (The Korean made miracle towels).

Black Label Hide-Soft Leather Cleaner
Black Label Hide-Soft Leather Cleaner is a pH-balanced leather shampoo designed to deep clean leather and vinyl surfaces. Formulated with mink oil and lanolin, Hide-Soft Leather Cleaner forgoes inexpensive petroleum ingredients and instead relies on advanced chemistry. Hide-Soft Leather Cleaner deep cleans leather surfaces without removing the natural oils.

Black Label Leather & Vinyl Coating
Black Label Leather & Vinyl Coating is a nano-polymer interior coating that protects treated surfaces against the damaging effects of moisture, oils and salt from skin, accidental spills, and more. Coated surfaces will be well protected against UV rays and other common contaminants that plague an interior from every day use. Use on dashboards, leather seats, and any other leather or vinyl surface that would benefit from superior protection. Coated surfaces will exhibit a low-gloss sheen that doesn’t attract dirt or dust.

Black Label Hide-Soft Leather Conditioner
Black Label Hide-Soft Leather Conditioner restores, conditions, and protects new and old leather surfaces. Formulated with mink oil and lanolin, Hide-Soft Leather Conditioner forgoes inexpensive petroleum ingredients and instead relies on advanced chemistry. Designed to restore leather’s natural oils, Hide-Soft Leather Conditioner protects against cracking and fading while reducing damage caused by abrasion. Natural leather scent restores the “new car smell.”

First I cleaned all the surfaces with a dry MF towel, car isn’t too dirty on the inside only have 3500 miles on it so far. Next I moved on to cleaning all the surfaces with Hide Soft Leather Cleaner on the seats and the other surfaces with DP Interior Cleaner.

Next every surface except the carpet was coated with Black Label Leather and vinyl coating.

To apply the coating I used round foam applicators and MF towel to wipe the excess a minute or two later.
When it goes on it darkens the leather and plastic a bit but as it dries it looks matte and new. It has just the perfect look I was going after; the finish is silky smooth to the touch.

All dry, some pictures were taking the same day and some 3 days later but the look is all the same.
I took close ups of the material to see how the finish looks on different materials at the same time.

Leather has a silky feel and matte look to it.

This is the driver’s seat, I used the Black Label Leather conditioner and the results where unlike other leather conditioners, and this too left a nice matte and dry finish; applied by hand and wiped off excess with towel.

Oops looks like I grabbed the wrong bottle for the picture.

Enjoy and feel free to ask questions.

Nice write up. So you had no issues using the coating on plastics and rubber?

Thank you. I did not, apply thin and if there is a high spot after a minute I wiped with a towel and no issues with streaking or greasy look.

Any strong smell to the leather and vinyl coating?

Thanks!

Yes I did.

Is there a recommended order? Without knowing any better, I would have applied the conditioner first [thinking to restore/condition first] , then the coating [thinking protective coating]. Doesn't mean that I'd be doing it right...

If the leather was in really bad shape I would have, but almost all leather being coated nowadays I don't know if that would have helped.

According to Todd you can apply the conditioner first and top it with the sealant.

Very nice review, and beautiful interior you have on that car!

Interested to see a review on a vehicle with more than 3,500 miles to observe the cleaning abilities of the Leather Cleaner.

This stuff is really expensive ($3.63 per oz.) vs. Optimum Power Clean diluted to 10:1 for cleaning leather ($.02 per oz), followed by Poorboys Leather Stuff ($1.12 per oz.).

I have a old school Acura with 180k the seats haven't been cleaned since last year but I will be borrowing my brothers car soon which is trashed:buffing:

The interior looks awesome I have A 2011 Camry andVinyl seats and a gray interior do you think black label would be safe to use? Is it safe to use on the center console

Is it the sport model with cloth inserts and vinyl sides and back?
It will work perfect on the vinyl. But my wife's car has the combo seats and I used CarPro Cquartz fabric and leather coating
CarPro Cquartz Fabric & Leather Coating

The finish is no where near nice as black label on the vinyl. But if they are all vinyl/leather I would go black label.
