Product:
Pinnacle Paintwork Cleansing Lotion

Price: $19.99 USD per 16 oz

Price per application: not sure did not use allot, was very inexpensive for a cleansing lotion

Texture/color: it was a white creamy liquid (minds out of the gutter), very similar to liquid sov. wax. It was not thick, yet not thin. In the middle I guess. It almost looked like icing sugar with to much water added

Smell: Not sure what it was, but it wasn’t bad or offensive. Nothing special but hey no biggie.

Directions as per pinnacle:

(copied from AG web site)

Hand Application:
  1. Wash the vehicle with Pinnacle Bodywork Shampoo and towel dry with a Cobra Microfiber Waffle Weave Towel.
  2. Apply a nickel-size amount of Paintwork Cleansing Lotion to a terry or microfiber applicator pad. Spread it over a 2 sq. ft. section using light pressure.
  3. Working in a back and forth motion will lessen the likelihood of producing swirls if a piece of dirt becomes trapped in the applicator pad.
  4. The lotion will dry to a haze. Buff lightly with a soft, clean microfiber towel.
You can also use the Pinnacle Polishin' Pal to apply Paintwork Cleansing Lotion. A 4 inch white pad will enhance the cleaning properties of the lotion and keep your hands clean during application.

How I used it: I applied a small amount on a foam applicator pad. I started with the drivers side hood and applied the product in a back and forth motion for a few minutes, or until it was almost clear.
I then let the cleansing lotion sit while I went and applied the next section. In this case the next half of the hood.
I then went back to the previous section and wiped off using a mf polishing cloth.

Application/ Removal: I found this very easy to apply and take off. Like butter. It was very simple. I have no complaints.

How did it work: It seamed to clean the paint well. I used it on a 2001 accord, that was gold. I did not clay as the customer did not pay for it. The cleansing lotion seamed to leave the paint very soft.
It took everything out that I wanted out. It did not leave the paint as smooth as clay but was defiantly better then many paint cleansers.

I did a review on hd-cleanse so I will compare it to that. It seamed to work better then the hd-cleanse and can be purchased in larger sizes.

Final thoughts: I really liked this cleanser. will I buy it again, I don’t know. I have a half dozen still to try. I liked it, it was inexpensive and did what I said it did. I would recommended it.

Thank-you for the review! I don't remember ever seeing a review on this before. Nice to know it worked better for you than HD Cleanse. I noticed that the high end detailers in the UK seem to use HD Cleanse.

I have it and plan to use it when I eventually detail my buddie's Neon. Unfortunately, I am not sure I see the benefit of it; I guess then you could use it in place of clay? I plan to use it in addition - it needs all the help it can get! LOL!
Anyone else try it? (I have used it only ona couple of random panels on the beaters...can't find much to say!!)
Sincerely,
Lauren

No problem, you know how we love pics around here.

The Pinnacle and P21S offerings are darn nice ....

Great review. I have wondered how that stuff worked. I'm with Lauren, I don't know how much it really benefits compared to the effort, but it sounds like it worked really well for you.

Speaking of Lauren, what's up with the "VPL"? And could you own a few more vehicles? :p ;)

I thought it was Vice Principal Lauren!

Ha ha! No, actually as it turns out, due to politics - they were worse than I had ever anticipated - I turned that one down. Had a good offer too! Wow. But I knew it just was not me.
Vette Princess Lauren, everyone's favorite teacher, works a lot better for me. It also leaves a lot more time for detailing!

Finished up the van - the dark green Plymouth - what a difference! Totally cool hobby!

Yah, too many vehicles, and not all my choice!
The Hond was mine - it is my son's now, legally. Technically it has been his for nearly 3 years now. He put 25k on it - it has 82k now.

Lauren,

"Vette Princess Lauren" is good. I like that. Better than what I was thinking it meant! :o

Kinda never undertsood the point of the cleansers....whats the difference between claying, or just using AIO?

I tried it again last week. It was used after a full polish rather than an IP/H2O rub or a wash. Paint came out squeeky clean each time. Followed it with XMT Glaze w/carnauba.

Tech Note: Paintwork Cleansing Lotion will not remove paint or clear coat finishes. Likewise, it will not remove swirls. It makes swirls less noticeable or invisible by rounding over the top edge of the swirl, robbing sunlight of a sharp edge to cause a reflection. Micro-fine fillers (1.4 micron) in the lotion then fill in the swirl. When you wax over these fillers, most swirls will disappear. These swirls may re-appear as the wax ages and may be revealed under some light conditions (Fluorescent lamps are ruthless, revealing flaws and swirls that will not show under normal sunlight.).
Looks like it'll help hide those pesky swirls that still remain after polishing.......... like on my Explorer hood!! :o Time to try XMT4!

its included in every Pinnacle kit for a reason. The average consumer is not going to clay and polish before protecting. Without the aid of a chemical based paint cleaner with some light fillers you would essentially be amplifying and sealing in a bad surface.

well I finally got a chance to upload some pictures.

It was a gold car so its hard to tell but there was a huge diffrence (sorry no befores)

I washed the car with victoria wax super soap
I then dried with a cobra WW
