Product Review: Wolfgang Detailer's Bag
Wolfgang Detailer's Bag, wolfgang polisher bag, detail bag, Porter Cable 7424 detail bag
Description: (Taken from AG's website)
The Wolfgang Detailer’s Bag is a carry-all for your detailing supplies, even your polisher! Just like a carpenter’s tool box, the Wolfgang Detailer’s Bag carries your tools of the trade. This well-made, generously sized bag holds bottles, buffing pads, brushes, and everything else you need to tackle any detailing job.
This bag reminds me of the old-fashioned doctor’s bag. It’s perfect for a mobile detailer making house calls. With 12 pockets, two large compartments, Velcro™ fasteners, and interior elastic straps for small items, the Wolfgang Detailer’s Bag literally has a place for everything.
At 17 inches long, the Wolfgang Detailer’s Bag accommodates the Porter Cable 7424XP and most other polishers. It has a bottom compartment for pads and backing plates. You can fit 10 16 oz. bottles, two 8 oz. bottles in two smaller pockets, multiple detailing brushes and swabs, towels, and there are even Velcro™ fasteners on the top of the bag to secure an extra extension cord. Whew! That’s a lot of detailing supplies but the Wolfgang Detailer’s Bag can handle it.
Speaking of the handle, it has a soft grip and there’s an optional shoulder strap to keep your hands free.
Load it up! The rugged construction of the Wolfgang Detailer’s Bag means you can fill it full of products without putting any strain on the materials. The stainless steel handle is secured into the hard end panels that give the bag its shape and strength. The entire bag is made of rugged, water resistant, 600 denier nylon canvas. The seams are all reinforced with canvas and metal studs. The bottom of the bag features two non-skid feet.
The Wolfgang Detailer’s Bag is a must-have for any detailer or hobbyist. The bag is big, its functional, its organized, and it looks great. The black bag has yellow trim with the Wolfgang Concours Series logo embroidered on the top flap.
Polishes, towels, a buffer, and pads are the tools of your trade and the Wolfgang Detailer’s Bag is your tool box.

Introduction:
I originally received this detailer's bag a long time ago and never got to use it. Partly because I didn't want it to get dirty and ruin its cleanliness. I totally forgot about this product until I recently moved to an apartment where the luxury of washing and detailing your car in your driveway and garage is non-existent. I always have to go to a coin-op to do a traditional wash to my vehicle or go to my parking space if I have to do a rinseless/waterless wash.
I have been hauling my detailing products in multiple supermarket plastic bags. Each time I wash the car, I carry lots of things such as microfiber towels, wash mitt, QD, spray wax, waterless wash, waffle weave towel, wheel/tire cleaner, tire shine, interior detailer, etc. It gets very disorganized quickly because I was carrying multiple plastic bags. I would say about 6 months ago, I remembered that I had my Wolfgang Detailer's Bag. I started using it and I've always been with it ever since then. It's truly a great tool to have when detailing your vehicle outdoors.
Opinions and Observations:
The first thing I was impressed with this bag is its build quality. The fabric used throughout the bag feels very thick and sturdy. They don't flex as much when poked and the 2 short side walls are very hard. The velcro looks like it will stay there forever. The pockets for product also look like they're not going to fail anytime soon. Wolfgang even thought of your own comfort by providing this comfort grip handle. This is very effective because it doesn't hurt your hand when carrying the bag especially if you put something inside that's heavy like a polisher. Here's a picture of the handle:
The next good thing that caught my attention is the space the bag provides you. I couldn't believe how much stuff I can pack in there. It has a lower compartment, a big space in the middle, and pockets surrounding the perimeter of the bag. Here is a picture of the lower compartment:
You can easily stuff 4 6.5" Lake Country pads in there as shown below. I'm sure you can also fit a combination of 5.5" and 4" pads.
The top cover is held on by velcro attachments on either side of the bag. Here is a picture showing the top cover opened from the front of the bag:
If you have tall bottles to bring, then there's no problem!!! You can completely remove the top cover that will remove the height restriction of the bottles you can put inside the bag. It's like having a convertible in the detailing bag world! Here's a picture of the top cover completely removed:
Did I forgot to say that this thing is SPACIOUS?! The picture below shows how much volume the main compartment has. In addition, it has a lot pockets and holders surrounding the perimeter. You can put spray bottles, brushes, sticks, etc in there and put the big items in the center.
Here are some pictures of the main compartment loaded with products:
Another feature I like about this bag is the metal bar used as the handle for the bag. I like how it spans from end to end of the bag. When you remove the top cover of the bag and make it like a convertible, you can use the metal bar to hang spray bottles as you can see above. I think that's a neat feature and I love it.
The picture below shows pockets on the side and back of the bag respectively:
As you can see, the back pockets can easily carry 4 16oz bottles. That's good for your compounds, polishes or liquid waxes.
The yellow/black color scheme of the bag is a great combination too. I think it exudes elegance and cleanliness at the same time. Very proper as a detailer. I like it a lot.
Conclusion:
Before, I would have never thought of buying a bag specifically made for a detailer because I thought I can just use a plastic bag or any type of bag for that matter. This was true until I got to try the Wolfgang Detailer's Bag and it definitely changed my opinion on it. I think this bag makes mobile jobs a lot easier by enabling you to organize the products you have to haul in 1 bag. It's just so convenient to have. In addition, the material and build quality is top notch. I think the saying "you get what you pay for" applies here. If I had a chance to buy this once again, I wouldn't hesitate to do so especially in my current living condition. Go get yours now! It's worth it and you will NOT be disappointed.
