Product used previously: N/A

The XMT series by Pinnacle stands for Xtreme Machine Technology Series. I received my XMT Polishing Pad Cleaner a couple weeks ago as part of a kit. Below is the product information and review.

Product Observations:
Manufacturer Claims: True
Packaging: Clear plastic bottle with nice spray applicator cap
Label: Nice looking and Durable
Consistency: Liquid
Color: Red
Scent: Very strong (rather unpleasant) what did you expect... strawberrys and vanilla would clean your pads?
Size Purchased: 12 oz
Regular Price: 12.99
Price Per oz: $1.08

Additional sizes available:
64oz ($35.00) $0.55 per
128oz ($59.99) $0.47 per

Method of Prep:
1.- N/A
Method of Application:
1.- Spray On

2.- Brush it if needed
3.- Rinse THOROUGHLY
4.- Bottle says to place clean pads back on polisher and spin to dry
5.- I prefer to squeeze them out and let them sit on their sides overnight. I lean them as shown in the picture so they can't roll away.
6.- After dry place pads in a clean dry place safe from dust

Observations:
1.- Very strong cleaner cuts right through the polish. I let a "dirty" pad sit for awhile before applying this just to test it. It was light work for this cleaner!
2.- Don't leave the pads sit after the cleaner has done it's job. Rinse right away
3.- I will consider some more cost effective options but for those that let their pads get dry and gunky I would recommend and I doubt anything will clean better.
4.- Depending on how quickly after use you clean your pads you may consider using the DP pad cleaner in a bucket or the Snappy clean.
5.- If this is a purchase for you buy it at 64oz ($0.55 per) or 128oz ($0.47 per). Then pour what you need into a small 8-12oz. spritz bottle, or buy a 12oz bottle as well and use that 12 oz. bottle as your spray bottle.

Pros:
1.- Extremely strong cleaner!

Cons:
1.- Pricey

Here is a little of the manufacturer info:

Contains a strong degreasing agent that breaks up oil and eliminates every last trace of residue. Soap (as in dish soap) can leave a residue of its own, so there is no soap in this cleaner.

i love this stuff!!! it doesnt spray out too much so it lasts a long time!!! well, atleast for me... i dont detail everyday.

Mine has lasted through a LOT of cleanings. Love the stuff. Don't think I will look for anything different until I can spring for a GG Pad Washer.

You guys bring up a good point. I just started using this so I didn't consider how long it might last. It is certainly true that it doesn't take much.

As always very nice and comprehensive review...Great job:dblthumb2: I also love this stuff it works amazingly well!

After I rinse my pads I place them face down on my clean grit guards to dry. I think this helps wick the moisture away from the adhesive. (You can actually get quite a few 6.5" pads on each grit guard if you place them strategically).

Great idea! Thanks

No, I'm following that other thread "carnauba over sealant???" and reconsidering. I'm so indecisive sometimes! I think it's DP Max Wax or Souveran but now I'm not sure I want to add a wax on top at all. I'll follow that thread and do a little more reading for another day or 2. Certainly Fusion would be THE one but 175$ isn't happening. I might have gone 100$ if I'd had more time to think about it. A shame they don't sell a smaller size for 50$. Then I'd be in!

OP- How many uses have you had on your pads so far because you're pads still look brand new! Seems like a great product. I picked up the DP pad rejuvenator, I hope it works just as well.

Most of them are brand new. Only 1 of the pads in that picture is used.
