Ok it has been a great holiday! But it had also rained and snowed the past week. We have traveled as I'm sure most others have but I couldn't take the wife's car looking like this any more. The kids were playing and I needed a detail fix. It is supposed to rain and snow tmarro but I don't care. The wash, simple. I have plenty of rinseless onr and others but I chose dg 931 with aqua wax, pinnacle liquid crystal waterless to help loosen all the crap that has built up on the car. I used the dean method with 15 soaked mf's in the 931. I will say I do not like the dg as much as onrww. But it is up there with reg onr. Smells like bubble gum and makes the paint slick.

You grabbed that bull by the horns :props: :goodjob2:

One of these days I'm going to give the GDM a run through. Kinda walked away from RW last spring...which reminds me to go turn the water shut off.

Happy detailing...:autowash:

Looks good. Any marring?

No marring. I soaked each panel for couple of minutes with the pinnacle waterless before using a soaked mf from the bucket. I did adjust the reatio about 3 oz for 2.5 gallon water. No scrubbing at all just wiped through the muck. I used new pre soaked mf for each panel so all is good.. I used onrww a couple of times week or so ago and I will say it is impressive. I like it the best but onr and dg 931 will not disappoint.

Thanks! I have grown to like rinseless. I still would rather do 2 bucket but at least I can do something. I have put 845 on both our cars and topped with nuba and am looking forward to using the pb BH that I got on sale in the spring.

I did too for a while. But last winter was rather mild here and I rarely clean one car without at least doing a quick wash on the other. Right now I'm about 10 days or so behind in my personal upkeep. Got a little snow two days running...calling for accumulation followed by rain here tomorrow.

OAN: I can never say enough good things about OTS. Best tire product I've ever used.

I can see why you like ots. Lasts a while too. I have never had problem with rinseless on a pretty dirty car. I wouldnt use if it were caked up, but Ive found that with warm/hot water and a little pre soak, the dirt hits the mf and stays. looks like I have wiped a muddy/dirty mess with my mf but I have a clean car. ;)

Even in the arctic tundra we achieve success!

Awesome!! :props:

Heavy snow forecast for my area today and tomorrow....

Method question: Do you go over each section a second time with a new soaked mf or does the first pass usually get it all and does not generally leave streaking behind?

I just got a shipment of ONR but have yet to try it. I'll practice on the wife's van before I attempt the Vette.

I use mf folded in fours. I usually use one or two that have been soaked in the solution as second wipe. If needed just flip mf over to unused section. Honestly never really needed the second. Have about 15 mf soaked in solution. Pull out one that will be used the entire time after the first wipe down on each panel. Use new mf soaked in solution for each panel. You will notice with your onr that you may not even need the second wipe. I have not had any problems with streaking with the correct ratio, now go over the ratio (say double++ it like I did once) and you will need a second sprtiz of detailer to help remove the nice streaks. :buffing: Here is dean video...great technique!

That method you posted sounds pretty good. Question though.

After you wipe a panel with a towel, can you flip it over and start on another panel? So technically you could get 4-8 panels done with one towel if you keep flipping it to a clean side.

I do on cleaner vehix. The down side with doing after snow and salted roads, you will see tiny little shiney specs of salt and dirt and sand. If you flip the mf over you can feel these things poking through. I don't risk marring or scratching on dirty cars. On spotted normal wash i absolutely will use one mf flipped several times on multiple panels.
