Ok,

Going to ask an opinionated question, but what microfiber towels are you guys using for rinseless washes?

I have used the two bucket method in the past with ONR and a microfiber mitt, but am about to try out the DP Rinseless Wash and Gloss and would like to give the "Gary Dean" method a try on my wife's black Yukon.

I can get the GG Speed Shine towels on sale at Advance for $14.49 for a 3 pack and instant pickup, but they are pretty soft, and I am not sure they would be the best thing for a rinseless wash.

So, what are your favorite for this method of wash?

Eagle Edgeless Orange/Blue Professional Korean 70/30 Super Plush 480gsm Microfiber Detailing Towels. You can pick up a 5 pack for just over $20 and they are well worth it. I keep 20 Orange ones for washing and have close to 20 or 30 blue ones for waxes and sealants. See my avatar.

These are amazing. Hold a TON of solution/water and are very soft, almost slimy wet in a good way when used with ONR as the longer fibers really do a great job. They weigh in over 1lb when wet. They are also easy to fold thus giving you 16 completely clean/fresh passes out of a single towel.

I would forgo the two bucket method and go single pale. I use a 3gal pale with about 1.5 gallons of solution. This way you never use anything but pure clean solution to wipe a surface. Once the towel is dirty and no longer has clean surfaces to use, toss it into a to-be-washed bucket grab a fresh one, soak it in the clean solution and keep going. I can do my Audi Sedan with 4-6 towels if it's not muddy or caked badly.

The great news is they clean up super easy too. I hit them with a spray in from the hose in our laundry tub to blast off any dirt before I toss them in the washer.
 
I like the wolfgang mitt.

I'm lazy, but it hasn't let me down, so I'll keep using it.

Have them but am not a fan. IMO the nap is too short and thus any dirt you catch while washing is on the surface. Longer nap heavier towels will insure the fibers are what hits the surface not the dirt.

I use them now strictly for interior work.

That rinseless wash mitt is interesting.
 
The AutoGeek Rinseless wash mitt is the best. I've tried sheepskin, different sponges and good quality microfiber towels but that is my favorite by far. Soft, holds a lot of solution and washes out easy every time even when really dirty.
 
You guys are wasting your time with all those towels and washing. Get a big red sponge from Optimum and call it a day. Alternatively, get a microfiber mitt.

Everyone has their own technique. Time wise, it's actually quite fast as I'm not rinsing anything and IMO that's safer too. I keep a 3 gal pale of fresh clean solution, drop 3 towels in it initially and when they are gone if I need another, I drop 1-2 more in.

Combined with the sprayer I can wash our van with about 2 gals of solution total. I usually have some left over too.

I use a water treatment system and fill some (2) 2.5 gal containers I have and re-use as my storage keep it on hand and ready.
 
I've been using the Meguiar's MF mitts for over a year and stopped using any of the other sponges/towels I was using before. The quality I really like is the ability to easily release much of the dirt with either a healthy shake in the bucket or a wipe over the grit guard. I've also got a Griot's mitt I haven't tried yet and I'll likely order one of the new AG rinseless mitts for comparison, but so far I'm very satisfied with the Meguiar's.

I use the blue Eagle edgless towels also. Those are in the solution bucket. I use a dense, white towel for spray wax drying. I use about 10 of each towel for a washing.

Great thing is there are a ton of ways to wash the vehicle. :xyxthumbs:

I tried the Optimum sponge and didn't like it. I much preferred the CarPro Wooley Mitt. I use the mitt when I feel the vehicle is too dirty..

I'll stick to the 48oz sprayer and a half dozen 650 GSM towels soaked in rinsless solution.
 
I used the Duragloss wash mitts or Meg's wash mitts. No staining and rinses well if you used Meg's D114.
