I have enclosed a picture of my Porsche 911. The rocker panels as you can tell are black plastic. It is hard to see, but if you look carefully you will see some small rash marks on the plastic. I will be showing the car next month. What is the best correction method?

Thanks

Is the plastic painted or is it raw plastic? If it is painted, providing it is non-textured, you may be able to remove the marks by polishing. If it is raw plastic, a trim dye or good dressing could disguise the marks but will not be able to remove any indentation.

Raw plastic - could it be wet sanded?

What about removing them, fixing the scuff, then having them sprayed a satin black? Like trim?

If I am not mistaken they are textured so wet sanding is not going to help but it will hinder...

I would take them off also and use an X-acto knife and trim out any little "hairs" and get the mark as un-noticeable as possible... then dress them or if they need a light repaint a nice coat of satin Krylon Fusion...
