I've been driving vehicles with manual transmissions exclusively for over 8 years now. Every time I drive an automatic I can't help but feel like I'm a passenger.

Yeah yeah yeah, there's the PDK from Porsche and the DSG from VW, but if it doesn't have 3 pedals I don't want to hear about it.

I'm curious which AGO members drive a manual every day. I guess a garage queen counts too. ;)

I here you nick, I would get bored real quick with an auto transmission. been driving manual transmission for over 20+ years and like to have the feeling of the car if that makes any sense...

manual forever!!

taught all my ex girlfriends how to drive stick and my future wife will def drive stick D:

My garage queen is a manual.

My daily is a DSG7. I still love DSG transmissions and I'm constantly driving it in "manual" mode.

Not here fighting the LA traffic. It get's old.

Been driving manual for 20 years, but I think my next car will be an automatic, seems car makers are swaying away from them.

Me. I drive automatics all day at work. Occasionally there's a manual.

Manuals Forever!! IMO they make driving fun.

Sure some Dual Clutch Autos, automatic and PDK's might be quicker in shifting, however, are BORING once you drive stick.

I crack up about autos being able to "BLIP" the throttle when going in a lower gear. That is the computer doing that.

For manual users that's called heal and toe downshift. If the car has only 2 Pedals then that is called an automatic to me.

Manual all the way!!

I call it heel/toe because I'm not healing anyone. :righton:

and I agree with you too.

I am also a manual driver. When i drive the wifey's auto i find myself putting my right hand on the shift lever whenever approaching a stop light! Doh!!!

that unfortunately seems to be the truth... :(

Manual on my GC.

Automatic on DD, need hands free for business and manuals suck in Tampa Traffic.

Unfortunately you're right. I'm sure you've heard by now the next Audi S4 will be DSG only. :(

Here's the thing...if we keep buying them, the manual transmission will not fade away completely. :dblthumb2:

my weekend fun car is a manual and the family car is a vw dsg...not even close to being the same thing.

I've had three cars so far in life and all of them have been manuals!

Currently it's a 2007 BMW 335i coupe, 6mt.
