Got an awning that rolls out and there is a tree above it. Needs to be cleaned now. Do I trat it like a boat cover? help pleeze.

Boy I'd like to get one of those awnings. Didn't they give you some cleaning instructions? Or did you inherit it?

i have an awning and the safest way to clean it is with mild soap and water. i usually start out with a hose on jet stream part of the nozzle then spray the mixture of say simple green or dawn. hose off. you probably will need a ladder for the upper portion but for the most part hose, spray, hose.

Do you guys have one of those giant ones? For a number of different reasons I have lost all that trees that shade my driveway, so I've been eying up a really big awning.

Cleaning instructions? They installed it to our block house and it almost fell out. I guess the drug policy wasn't in effect yet. lol

Thanx I will try that. We have a power washer ut it says not to use it. Power washer can remove wood from the deck.

I'm not sure what you call big but it covers our small deck. I wish we got the electric assist one but if the power goes out in a storm I would be in trouble. It is great when the sun hits in the morning. Great keeping the sun off sitting out during the day. If you have a block house like us watch them install it properly. I had a couple of guy redo it and one hung off of a bolt. Ain't coming down till the house falls.
