I wanted to get some opinions on if I should add glossy Avery Dennison roof wrap or not. I do not have a moonroof, but I see most Prius owners who have a moonroof add the wrap while others who don't, don't add it. To me at least roof wrap would look better with a clean roofline especially if someone is trying to get that panoramic look. Plus in my opinion a Prius with a moonroof just doesn't look right. I don't know why, but it just doesn't.

I say ABSOLUTELY YES! I also wish you had larger wheels like the one 2nd from the last pic, looks so much better IMO! I had a CRZ before my current car and I added 1" size larger wheels and it didn't change my mileage at all, actually went to a 30mm wider tire as well and the rim was also 1" wider. I do like your current rims but on a car that size the larger diameter wheel would've looked better.

How much is going to cost for the wrap?

I do, those are the same exact rims. I swapped out the factory 15's to 17's.
Niche Targa M129 rims - Anthracite
17" Toyo Versado Eco 215/45/17 tires

Wrap would cost $250.

I don't think you can really hurt the look of the car by adding the wrap.

For whatever reason the rims look larger in that 2nd from the last pic. The wheel style is VERY nice and compliments your car greatly. This is proof right here that even on a Prius, wheels can change the look of a car greatly ( no offense )

To bad your so far away because I believe my vinyl guy is about $100 cheaper but then again you do have the shark fin and that needs to be removed to apply the wrap properly and then have the fin wrapped before it's all done!

Can't wait to see the pics, may be have a custom decal made for your centercaps to give it an even further custom look.

I think some members drop their Prius's an Inch. What worries me is how long the wrap will hold up here in WI. How will it hold up when using touchless washes after time. I even read members using tire shine. That's the stuff that worries me. Will it get scratched up when using something like a snow brush?

I had my buddy's roof wrapped for his birthday 2 years ago and it's holding up just fine. The car is a DD and stays outside 24/7 and we live in Chicagoland.

As far as using a tire product on it....NO WAY! Think about it, when you wash or its raining it's going to run down onto the paint. I coated the roof with DP paint coating and it's holding up just fine, just applied Collinite #476 to it 2 weeks ago, so it's good and protected for another year!

What place does the wrap in Chicago that you referred to? If I don't add paint coating and Collinite what could happen?

What I don't get is why in the heck would someone get a Prius with a moonroof and then wrap it. That takes away all the fun in having someone think you have a panoramic roofline. Do you agree? I don't get it. Maybe I'm wrong.

Extreme Graffics in Lombard Illinois, ask for Steve and tell him Roger sent you The vinyl needs to be cleaned and protected like paint.

I'll see about making an appointment then. I'm always in Chi-town on the weekends, we have family there. Does he also do window tinting? I have a few buddies looking for someone who is good. I used these guys and they are really good, but they don't do wraps on weekends.

He has a guy from the outside that does it so you would have to set that up beforehand.

Sounds good. I'll wait to hear from him.

What is your thought on the moonroof stuff I posted earlier. I value your input.

Well he's very busy so if you left a message it might take some time for him to get back to you, I would call him on Monday morning at 9 a.m. when they open.

As far as the roof goes I would wrap everything white up there, with or without the sunroof

White? I was thinking glossy black to make it look like a panoramic roof. Why would I do white lol.

I mean't if a car has a sunroof to cover the areas around it black that are body color, that's all. Some cars with a sunroof aren't always all black up there, that's what I was sayin'.
