I have never used a rotary until the other day. I cannot seem to find the answer to my question. Maybe it is dumb/no brainer, but how are you suppose to lay the pad onto the paint? I know with a DA it is flat but do you lay it the same with a rotary? I seem to be getting curve marks from the edge of the pad. They are not holograms or buffer trails. And i wish i took a picture of them, sorry. I will try to reproduce it again if need be.

Maybe it is in my technique. Here is my process, i have a 849x, flex backing plate, hexlogic pad. Put the product down, pick it up at 600, spread it out, bump up to 900/1000 final spread and start working product between 1000-1500 with the pad flat on the surface. Thanks for your time!

As flat as possible, but it is a forced rotation tool. So get to know the tool and your procedures.

Perfect! That is what I thought, but wanted clarification!

So, would the pad edge looking marks in the finish come from not keeping the pad flat, correct?

Thank you for the video!
