Ok, so after my last post a number of you have me convinced that the DA might still have it's place in my practice. I have had a number of days to think about it and I guess that maybe I have been taking the wrong approach. Mike - I am even more convinced that I need your class now!

So let me float this by you guys... Do you basically have to bump it up a level to get the same correction with the da. Compound with the DA equals swirl remover with the rotary? White pad on the rotary equals orange pad with the da?

Feed back please

I think you can equal the same amount of correction on each machine. How well you can finish out depends on technique and the paint system you are working on.

Rotary = Excellent results. High learning curve. Fast defect removal. Relatively risky.
DA = Excellent results. Low learning curve. Slower defect removal. Relatively safe.

I have never had a problem with finish, it that mainly with black color?

Black cars will certainly show holograms easier than a silver or metalic color.
