Use a pop up canopy or do the shaded side in morning & move to other side in afternoon. Direct sun sucks!
What all products do you have at your disposal? A lot of the marine products have longer working times and are pretty friendly when working in sunlight.
One thing to remember is the sun isn't going to be directly on the entire boat all day so plan according so that your not working in direct sunlight.

Is the hull in good shape or bad shape?
If it's in bad shape - how bad?
Might be faster to machine sand off the dead oxidation than to push hard for hours with a rotary buffer.
