Does anybody have any long term experience using this on the door and window seals, weatherstripping and the seals around headlights etc.???

What do you guys recommend?

Should I stick with the manufacturer recommendation?Weatherstrip Lubricant (GM Part No. U.S. 3634770) OR Dielectric Silicone Grease (GM Part No. U.S. 12345579)

If so where would I find this. I didn't have luck on the internet. Do I have to go to the dealer?

I have had great experience with it. It's all I use on my door seals etc.

I have used the 303 on my 04 Bonneville since purchased new and there is no wear on any seals. I usually apply after every other wash.

One disclaimer. I did pick up a container of Gummi Pflege and was happy with the results. I used the Plege on my 3 cars and my sisters car. I still continue to use the 303 but the Einszett product is a less costly alternative.

Einszett Rubber Care Stick Gummi Pflege, gummi pflege

I like to use 303 Aerospace or Einszett Cockpit Premium. I've heard that Gummi Pflege is an excellent product for rubber seals but both 303 Aero and Cockpit Premium are safe to use on rubber and I always have those two products on my shelf anyways.

A next door neighbor of mine gave me a bottle of 303 Aerospace and it did one heck of a job. Since my car is all black, faded trim sticks out quite a bit after cleaning. So i found 303 to be great with really giving the seals back their color. SPF 40 in it too, which is great for black on black vehicle, because i usually roast like a country ham on hot days.

I just starting using Poorboys Trim restorer again. Forgot how well it works on trim/rubber seals. Did my door/trunk seals since they are starting to show there age. Love the coconut smell is has as well (not strong either).

:iagree: My only problem is, I can't smell. Therefor, I could not tell ya if it smells good or bad. LOL I do love how it seals all the wonderful black rubbers on the exterior of a vehicle. So far, I have not seens any runs since used.

Stephen

Used to use it on my car all the time about 3 years ago. For some reason I just stopped. Well recently I've been on a "restore my interior" kick and noticed my seals are starting to crack and some pieces are missing. So it's time to bring them back and TR does the job amazing well. Also forgot how little you need, this stuff spread very very well.

I have used and had complete success with the Einszett Rubber Stick. Even the guys on Corvetteforum love it. The applicator is a plus too.

Looks nice-Love the applicator+
How wide is the applicator tip?
Is the UV protection equiv. to 303?

Its the size of a shoe polish head ... perfect for weatherstripping. I dont know the UV protection specifically but use commonly inside car and never had an discoloration and rubber is supple and soft.

1Z Gummi Pflege Stift (rubber care stick) is the only thing I use on rubber seals. 1Z actually conditions them, keeping them soft. I highly recommend it.

Is Gummi Pflege good for foam rubber seals as well?
I just used 303 on all my seals including foam rubber... Hope that was ok. I am going to buy some of this that you guys are recomending

I'm after the same decision and not sure which one to go for.

I use 303 on the interior vinyl but not sure for exterior rubber and hard plastic trim which is better ?

1Z Gummi Pflege Stift is more weather resistant than 303 Aerospace Protectant. 303 does have a roll on type like Gummi Pledge, but have not used.

:iagree: Gummi Pflege on rubber seals, but Car Pro Dlux for exterior plastics will work better than 303. Six year old thread and Gummi Pflege is still on top.:props:

When you say weather resistant do yo mean against UV or rain etc ?

I was hoping to use it to maintain my rubber seals which are in good condition. Also hoping to use it on exterior hard plastics like the mirror casing etc.

Water Resistant.

I find myself using 303 mostly on interior.

What do you use to clean the rubber seal before gummi stick?
The best way to describe it is that the seals are "dirty", literally
